Are you in an abusive relationship with yourself - part 2?

Last week we looked at verbal abuse - this week, let's look at physical abuse.

Do you fight going to sleep when you are tired, and force yourself to stay up late, lacking in sleep?

Do you gobble your food?when exercising, do you push yourself - harder, more, pain is good?

Again, if you said yes to any of these, then you are in an abusive relationship with yourself.

If someone else forced you to be sleep deprived, gobble your food and push you hard physically, you would consider them to be abusive. If your job contract has these conditions, you would not sign it. But when you do it to yourself, its ok.. isn't it?

Abuse is abuse.

Instead of abuse, practice kindness towards yourself.

Practice the 1 rule principle - if it is ok for my loved ones/child to go to bed when they are tired, then it is ok for me to do the same. 1 rule. Not different rules for different people.
