Are you in an abusive relationship with yourself?

Think about this for a minute.

Do you talk to yourself in a way that you will not allow or like anyone talking to you?

Do you use words or tone of voices on yourself that you dont use on others or dont like others using on you?

Do you shout at, bully, order, command yourself as a way of "motivating" yourself?

If you answered yes to any of these, then you are in an abusive relationship with yourself.

The way that you talk to you is abusive.

Lets stop sugar coating it by saying "i have a critical mind".

Let's be honest and call it what it is - I am abusive towards myself.

Now we can work on ways to change the abuse

1) parent your inner mind - if it says something that you dont like, parent it the way you would a child, who you love.

2) change the tone - instead of your voice (or that of your parent) criticising and judging you, change the voice to a funny character - Spongebob or Adam Sandler..
