Don't listen to everything you think

Have you every really listened to your mind. A lot what your mind says is designed to increase distress or keep you tensed. Even the so-called pleasurable thoughts/fantasies (sitting on the beach) brings dis-pleasure because that is not my current reality. It is what I want, but don't have.

For this week, notice how often you create dis-stress in your body because of the thoughts you pay attention to.

Lovingly and gently, remind yourself that you do not have to listen to this thought, yes, it is there, acknowledge it, and leave it alone. Don't fight it or try to get rid of it. Just lovingly acknowledge that you are creating dis-stress in your body because of this train of though. Then come back to the body using touch.
