Letting go in peace, brings no pain or discomfort

When we look at a caterpillar going into its cocoon, it looks painful. But because the caterpillar has prepared for this process, the shedding and letting go, even thought it might be unpleasant, it does not elicit pain or distress.

This makes me think of how I approach change and letting go.

When I have done so with resistance, it was painful and took forever. When I let go in peace, it was really a letting go. No pain or discomfort at all.
